The world has been searching for the indefinable fountain of youth since the start of time. We all seem to drop that young at heart vigor and we would all like to come across and feel younger as we grow old. Antioxidants come into our bodies and they give the absent electron to the free radical thereby stabilizing it and preventing additional damage. That is why a diet high in fruits, vegetables, whole grains and other healthy foods is a fountain of youth. Foods high in antioxidants soothe free radical damage in our bodies. Antioxidants reduce the total of free radicals in our bodies and therefore contribute greatly to the strong, energetic youth that we long to retain.

The deterrence of free radical damage by antioxidants is an ongoing course. In reality even more free radicals are produced as the others are being neutralized. As a result antioxidants must be repetitively replaced within our bodies. We ought to eat a healthful food intake on a on a daily basis basis. It has been established that the safest and most valuable means to obtain antioxidants is through diet. The highest benefits of antioxidants come from the synergy of the different nutrients functioning together. That is why it is sensible to consume a big assortment of healthy foods. One separate antioxidant will not supply the advantage that it will when pooled with the other nutrients. That is one explanation why it is healthier to get your antioxidants from groceries rather than supplements.

The fountain of youth that we have been searching for has been with us all along. We just didn't appreciate it. If you want to prevent much of your age related decline you should eat a large assortment of healthful antioxidants in your diet.
